Sonny began his career in 1997 with Redman Davis Insurance in Columbia serving as Senior Vice-President and Risk Advisor for 35 years. He attained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation (CIC) in 1994. He also earned his Accredited Cyber Risk Advisor designation (ACRA) in 2016. Sonny has a career of providing solid solutions for hundreds of clients in Commercial Risk Management along with years of experience in Personal Insurance. Today, Sonny focuses on Commercial Property and Casualty that includes Employee Benefits.

Sonny believes in giving back to his community with many leadership positions with President of the Exchange Club, 2000 President of Maury County Home Builders Assoc., The Family Center – founding board member, 2017 Volunteer of the year from Maury Alliance and Economic Development. He also served as Chairman of the County Commission for two terms and eight years as 9^th district Commissioner. Currently serving as founding board member of Catalyst Men’s Group a non-denominational prayer group. Retired Chairman and President of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.

Sonny is married to Patricia, and they have 2 children, Cole & Anna and Leah Ginn with Ryan Shackelford deceased 1995.

He enjoys the outdoors, Hunting and Fishing, playing golf and working on the farm.
